Pixadox / Studio
A studio in Udupi.
Pixadox Technologies writes software for businesses, mostly for the ones that already have a system and have outgrown it. We are on the Karnataka coast and we work with people who are not.
We build, then we stay. Most of what we run today is software we wrote two or three versions ago and have kept alive since.
Udupi, and an hour either side of it.
Close enough to sit in your office for a day before quoting, which is the part that decides whether the software fits. Work outside this stretch runs over mail, screen sharing and one call a week, and that has been fine for years.
Coastal Karnataka is a good place to build business software. The shops, hotels, schools, distributors and clinics here run real operations on thin margins, and they tell you plainly when a screen is slow or a report is wrong. That feedback is worth more than a design award.
The arrangement.
Written down before the first invoice, so nobody has to remember what was said on a call.
- 01Scope in writing, with stages, dates and a price per stage. You can take it to another studio for a second quote.
- 02Billing on completed stages. No retainer running quietly in the background.
- 03The repository, the hosting account and the domain are in your name from the first day, not transferred later as a favour.
- 04One person you deal with throughout. Not an account manager relaying messages to a team you never meet.
- 05A weekly build you can log into, so progress is something you check rather than something you are told.
- 06Maintenance is month to month after launch. Leaving does not break anything, because the code and the accounts are yours.
What we will not do.
Worth saying out loud, because every one of these has come up.
- Quote a fixed price before seeing the current system.01
- Promise a position on a search results page.02
- Hold your code or your hosting login as leverage.03
- Rebuild something that works, because it is old.04
- Put a chatbot in front of a problem that needs a form.05
- Hand over a system with no training and call it done.06
Everything on this site is hand built.
There is not a single stock photograph or bought template on these pages. The invoices, bills, stock registers and chat threads are drawn in HTML and CSS, animated with CSS, and filled with demo data we made up. It seemed the honest way for a studio to show what it can do.

Languages and hours
We work in English and Kannada. Code, documentation and commit messages are in English, so whoever takes over after us can read them. Training and day to day conversation happen in whichever language the staff are comfortable in.
Address
HNo 7/50, Opp Ganesh Marbles, Udupi, Karnataka 576102, India
Phone
A street address in a town you can drive to, and a number that a person picks up. That is the difference between a studio and a web form run from somewhere you cannot point to on a map.
Come and look at our screens.
Or send yours. Either way, the first conversation is about what you run today and what it costs you when it goes wrong.

Questions we get asked
- +91 99025 67645call
- Same number on WhatsAppchat
- info@pixadox.comemail
- 01How big is the studio?
- Small enough that the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. We are not going to publish a headcount that flatters us, and you will meet whoever is doing the work.
- 02What do you refuse to do?
- Work priced below what it takes to do properly, rescue jobs where the owner wants the symptom hidden rather than the cause fixed, and anything that depends on us keeping the client locked in. We would rather lose the job.
- 03What happens if you are unavailable later?
- The handover is built for that. Your code is in your repository, your hosting and domain are in your name, and the written note explains how the system works. Another developer can pick it up without calling us.
